With over 21 years in the business and 35 years of supporting and advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community, we have witnessed firsthand the incredible barriers people face. From limited access to care and career transitions to housing insecurities while pursuing education, these obstacles are particularly challenging for new electrologists—especially our trans students.

But with the support of SHIELDS, these barriers begin to disappear, allowing students to focus on learning the tools for financial independence through a career in electrolysis.

We understand how difficult it is to access financial aid, especially in trade school settings. Yet, the demand for skilled electrologists is growing rapidly, and without access to education, it’s difficult to develop the next generation of hair removal specialists.
